Workflows
Review what a role understands, which rules apply, and whether each action is ready.
Open this workspace pageWhat a workflow represents
A workflow uses an existing agent. Workflows and Agents show different views of the same saved role; creating a draft workflow creates an agent, not a separate automation. The card combines trigger channels, understood requests, checked rules, connected systems, and the human escalation destination.
Create a draft
- Open Workflows.
- Under Start from an organization role, choose the intended job.
- Choose Create draft workflow.
- Read the new card and inspect each action’s readiness.
- Choose Configure and test workflow → to open its agent detail page.
- Continue with Agent teamsAgent settings and Rule settings before activation.
Read action readiness
| Status | Next step |
|---|---|
| Ready | The action is permitted and a supported connection or staff-handoff path is available. Each request still checks identity, details, rules, approval, and the provider’s actual response. |
| Blocked by rules | Ask an administrator to review the action permission and required data scopes. |
| Connection required | Configure a verified provider that supports this specific action. |
| Simulation | The available connection is test-only; it does not update a live system. |
A connected calendar does not enable every action offered by every role. A clinical, payment, dispatch, or case-management action needs a real supported adapter. The role template alone is not enough.
Review before activation
- The assigned channels match your intended intake.
- The rules and identity requirements are correct for the task.
- The needed action is Ready, or clearly understood as pending connection or approval.
- The escalation target matches a monitored staff destination.
- You have tested allowed, denied, missing-information, and staff-handoff cases.
After-hours automation, scheduled reminders, and clinical-system writes require separate implementation or integration; a role title does not establish those behaviors.
